What to Do this Weekend at Queen’s & Downtown: Nov. 23-26, 2017

This weekend is full of live music! The Trews, Whitehorse, Arkells, The Washboard Union, Queen’s Jazz Ensemble, and many more! There’s also a Victorian Tea party fundraiser, back-to-back Queen’s Gaels basketball games and women’s hockey games, a pottery show & sale, and a free movie night! All Weekend

Friday 6pm/8pm

Game of the Week
The Gaels women's basketball team (5-1) will return to home court when they host the Windsor Lancers (5-1) at the ARC Friday night in Game of the Week. Game time is set for 6pm.

Friday 7:30pm

Saturday 6pm

FREE Movie Night! Next Church on Colborne St will be screening Moana. Popcorn provided. Bring a snuggly blanket if you feel like it.

Sunday 11am-8pm

Drop in for 30 minutes or 5 hours! This event sets first-year students loose on a final paper of their choosing in a dedicated, (relatively) distraction-free space. The Peer Writing and Learning Assistants will be available to provide suggestions, while, in a nearby room, free snacks, and excellent raffle prizes keep everyone motivated.

This Saturday at 7pm, Queen’s prof Darrell Bryan is performing an unforgettable concert at Cooke’s-Portsmouth United Church, near West Campus. Tickets are $20 in advance or at the door. Listen to his cover of “I Can’t Make You Love Me” and get ready to melt.

Women's hockey jumps to No.8 best teams in Canada ahead of this weekend's Saturday and Sunday games, both at 2:30pm.
