Meet Glafki Collaku

About me: I’ve spent my whole life travelling, experiencing new cultures and moving to new countries, so seeing how many AMAZING (and so many kinds of) events happen right here in Kingston made me so happy to have picked Queen’s as my university! 🌍

My favourite event I attended this year: In November, I went to the Santa Claus Parade downtown, followed by a night of live music and hot cocoa at Musiikki Café! I look forward to all the other events I’ll attend during my time at Queen’s! 🎅

Meet Thorolf van Walsum

About me: What can I say except wow. The past few months I’ve spent with QueensEvents have been nothing less than superb! From the amazing, outgoing energy that everyone exudes, to the events that I’ve been discovering all across Kingston… Wow! 😄

My favourite event I attended this year: If I was forced to choose one highlight that stood out above all others, it was meeting the Goodnight Irenes in Musikki Café on a Wednesday night in February. The unparalleled intimacy in this cozy, rustic space is amazing! Best of all, the artists took the time to play one last round of songs for the tiny crowd that remained after – it was incredible. 🎶

Meet Christina Zheng

About me: Hi everyone, I’m Christina! I joined the QueensEvents team as a Brand Ambassador this January, and I mainly work on developing QE’s marketing strategy. I am in first-year commerce at Queen’s and I am interested in marketing as a career path! 📣

My favourite event I attended this year: Back in November, I went to the Queen’s Symphony Orchestra concert at The Isabel! 🎻
