One of the first things I noticed after moving to Queen’s in first year, was that I had NO IDEA what local Kingston radio stations offered, nor where to tune my dial.

91.9 FM – The Cave

Community station run by students in the Limestone District School Board. We broadcast throughout the school year and hire student managers and volunteers to continue to serve the community during the summer months.

92.9 FM – CBC Radio 2 – Indie / Adult Alternative / Jazz

Previously concentrating on classical music and jazz, CBC Radio 2 has transitioned towards a new “adult music” format with a variety of genres. Approximately 2.1 million people tune into CBC Radio Two weekly, and it is the second biggest radio service in Canada.

Station Location: in Kingston we get the “Eastern” broadcast (Ottawa schedule). CBC Music headquarters are in Vancouver, but they broadcast shows from across Canada.
