Celebrate FebFest 2018 in Downtown Kingston!

FEB FEST FEATURES A FLURRY OF FANTASTIC WINTER FUN! AND THIS YEAR, IT’S A WHOLE MONTH LONG!

Each weekend will feature one of the larger signature events that you’ve come to expect and love from Feb Fest in the past…plus there will be lots of new and exciting additions!

Highlights include

For the entire month Confederation Park will be transformed into a Winter Park with a snow maze, ice slides and more! (weather permitting)

DJ Skates, wagon rides, beavertails, learn to skate and more!  Check the weekly schedules below for details …and stay tuned because there’s more to come!

Toast to Tapas (Thu. Feb. 1 – Wed. Feb. 7) – The theme of the week is Whiskey. Tapas available at Le Chien Noir Bistro Tango Nuevo & Chez Piggy. Served from 3pm to 6pm daily.

Thursday, Feb. 1

  • Carr-Harris Cup @ Rogers K-Rock Centre (All Ages+)
    7:30pm – Watch Queen’s & RMC face off in the world’s oldest documented hockey rivalry! Tickets on sale now at the Rogers K-Rock Centre box office.

  • Imagination on Ice featuring Elvis Stojko @ Springer Market Square – Presented by 98.3 Fly FM
    1pm-2pm – Figure skater Elvis Stojko will be joined by incredible local talent.

    10am-11am – Never learned to skate?  New Canadian?  Come learn the basics of how to stay upright on the ice by friendly instructors on the Market Square rink!  (12 years+, first come first served)

  • Design Your Own Paperweight @ Kingston Glass Studio & Gallery (56 Queen St)
    9am-3pm – Create your own paperweights by selecting colours and designs.  After the colour and design has been formed, participants watch as our glass artists pour molten hot glass onto their creation to form a paperweight! Workshop fees are $35 per person and space is limited. Register online to reserve your time slot.
  • Habitat for Humanity Hammer of Hope
    10am-4pm – Take part in a friendly nail driving competition for a chance to win a gift basket!
  • Easter Seals Skate
    10am-11am – Families of all abilities are welcome to join us on the ice for a skate.  Wheelchairs welcome! Additional accessibility information coming soon.

    1pm-2:30pm – The Kingston Ringette Association invites you to join them try ringette on the ice in Springer Market Square.  There will be a half hour demonstration of this unique winter sport (1:00pm-1:30pm) followed by an opportunity to see what the fun is all about for yourself! Registration is recommended.
