Kingston Pride Week Events

For our LGBTQ community in Kingston, June is one of the best times of the year! It’s a time to be open, a time to celebrate with friends and a time to show your PRIDE for being who you are! Here’s some of the events coming up for PRIDE Week in Kingston 2017 – special thanks to KingstonYouth.ca!

Saturday, June 10: TShow: Gay Space 1999 – A futuristic drag show with a good dash of gay pixie dust. Doors 8pm, show 9pm at the Renaissance Event Venue, 19+

Sunday, June 11: Pride Worship Service at St Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at 263 Victoria Street. Join St Mark’s congregation for a pride worship, “God welcomes all regardless of race or culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, or relationship status”- St Mark’s mission statement. Free admission and open to all!

Wednesday, June 14: The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (1994) film screening @ The Screening Room, 7PM. The story of two drag performers and a transgender woman traveling across the Australian desert to perform their cabaret.

Saturday, June 17: Kingston Pride Community Fair and Parade! Open to all, the parade begins and ends in Skeleton Park with the Community Fair taking place in the park. This is a family friendly event open to all who want to celebrate gender and sexual diversity.
