Queen’s For OOCH 5km Run
Sunday, Mar. 25 @ 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM$30
The annual Queen’s For OOCH 5km run is BACK!
What – A 5K fun run to get started on your training for the sporting life 10K this spring!
Where – Around Kingston’s beautiful waterfront! Meet at SKHS (KIN) building!
When – March 25th, starting at 10am!
We will start registration at 9am, then the founder of Ooch will give a speech to learn more about the Camp and pump us up. We will be ready to run around 10am and prizes shortly after!
Who – Queen’s For OOCH, an entirely student-run organization on campus with the mission to raise awareness and funds for Camp Oochigeas. Camp Ooch is a privately funded, volunteer based organization that provides kids with cancer and kids affected by childhood cancer with a unique opportunity for growth through challenging, fun, enriching and magical experiences.
At QFO, we believe that every child deserves to experience the wonder of camp, and the funds we raise from events like this one go straight to providing children with this camp experience free of charge!
Why – Because you’re an amazing person who wants to help children experiencing childhood cancer & also want some exercise! According to QFO co-chair Laura Toth’s highschool gym teacher, “If you can run 5K without stopping, you’re still in shape”. Challenge accepted?!
HOW – There is a MINIMUM $30 fundraising fee, but we strongly encourage you to fundraise as much as you can as 100% of the proceeds will be going straight to camp OOCH!
MORE – The first 50 people to sign up with their 20$ pledge will get a SWELL style water bottle!
Donations will be accepted in cash on the day of the event or via cheddar up (RIP Tilt).
