From creation to performance, the role of the composer, performers and Musical Director in creating musical Musical Theatre. This workshop will examine the roles and training needed to be a musical theatre composer, musical director and indeed singer/actor by tracing the evolution of a show tune from conception to presentation. How does one create a show tune? How does one combine words and music to create a higher art form? What is its function of different types of show tunes in a show? Then finally, how does a musical director cast, teach and inspire the performers of this song to create a nuanced inspiring performance?
