Multimedia Storytelling: Krista Muir sings “The Tides”
Friday, December 8th @ 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM$15
It has been over ten years since Krista performed at Kingston Unitarian Fellowship. Krista, originally from Kingston and former member of the KUF Youth Group, spent over 19 years in Montreal as a student, composer, performer and digital storyteller, collaborating frequently with international artists such as turntablist DJ Kid Koala, experimental documentary filmmaker Kara Blake and interactive public arts collective Daily Tous Les Jours. This year marks the 10th anniversary of her first baritone ukulele album “Leave Alight” and the birth of her self-produced album “The Tides” – the album that saved her life.
On December 8th, Krista returns to Kingston to perform a special fundraiser show at KUF. Come to the KUF Cabaret for stories, songs and videos! Advance tickets can be purchased at KUF on the Sundays leading up to the event after the service (noon) or at the door the evening of. Tickets are $15 each (cash only). Come prepared as there is no ATM on site and you may also want a copy of her latest album or some other sundries. Tea, coffee and snacks for purchase.
If you’d like to sing along with “Leave Alight” you can stream, purchase the album (the lyrics are there as well!) here:
