‘And the Journey Continues’ Open Mic
Tuesday, October 3rd @ 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
An event every month that begins at 7:00pm on day First of the month, repeating indefinitely
To all those of you who have attended this monthly reading series as either a reader or a guest over the past 8 years, I do especially want to let you know that it is each and every one of you who has made this the wonderful and beautiful event that it is. To each of you, a heartfelt thank you!
Location – The Common Market Coffeehouse 136 Ontario St. (on the corner of Ontario & William). This is after normal hours but still open to the public, and a barista will be on site to offer full coffee, tea, and espresso drinks, and a limited selection of other goods as well.
Admission – FREE
For those coming to read or perform, in the past I felt it necessary to include an 8 minute maximum limit for readings or musical performances. At least for the time being I am removing that ‘idea’, but please be considerate of others’ time. This reading series is held in a beautiful, inviting, and acoustically sound space where the diversity of work, style, word and voice is welcome, always.
Always held the first Tuesday night of the month. There will be a short intermission, with limited food and beverage provided.
These readings are recorded for playback (only with permission) on CFRC 101.9fm’s “finding a voice”, and now may occasionally be videotaped (again only with permission) as well. This is an open event, so feel free to invite friends. It is as well an open-door event, so it’s fine to come late but quite often the readings end well before 10. Hope to see you there 🙂
