Women’s Fastpitch is a Varsity Club that competes in the 13-team Ontario Intercollegiate Women’s Fastpitch Association. Competition begins in September and wraps up mid-October.
Cheer on your Queen’s Gaels Women’s Fastpitch Team as they take on the York Lions for their next home games of the 2017-2018 season! This is a double header, with games at 6:30pm and 8:30pm outside at Garrigan Park, about a couple blocks away from west campus. The game is free to watch for students and the public. Wear your tricolour and support your Queen’s Gaels!
Fastpitch softball, also known as fastpitch or fastball, is a form of softball played commonly by women and men. Fast pitch is considered the most competitive form of softball. It is the form of softball that was played at the Olympic Games in 1996, 2000, 2004, and 2008. Pitchers throw the ball with an underhand motion at speeds up to 77 miles per hour (124 km/h) for women!
