OFF the GRID: A Concert for Earth Hour

Saturday, March 25th @ 7:30 PM - 1:00 AM

Don’t like sitting in a dark house alone for Earth Hour but still want to participate? Come out to S4S’s Earth Hour Event @ Clark Hall Pub!

***doors open at 8PM! No cover***

On this March 25th, Queen’s Students for Sustainability is putting on an amazing concert in lieu of Earth Hour. We have some amazing performances such as the band Pal Man and the Dude Friends, the Glasgow Kisses, as well as an insane rap performance by Wen and OG Bea!

Performers
1. Wen & OG Bea

OG BEA is a lyricist coming out of Markham Ontario. Her style is crafted from the oppressive conditions of suburbia lifestyle, drawing inspiration from rappers such as ‘Ugly God’ and ‘XXXtentacion.’ Bringing the aggressiveness of Nicki Minaj mixed with the wordplay of early Childish Gambino, her rapping stirs an energy in the loins of her listeners. In her spare time, she binge watches ‘The Office’ and ‘Rupaul’s Drag Race’ to distract herself from the meaningless void that is existence.

WEN hails from the mainland and came to Canada when his parents illegally birthed a second child. Hip hop consumed his early years as he wore triple XL Sean John tshirts and wouldn’t be seen without his KSwiss kicks. Today, his rap style is influenced by the playful lyricism of Chance coupled with jazzy obscure beats he finds on his fuego soundcloud. Dubbed as the guy from high school still trying to be a rapper, when WEN isn’t chinaman squatting over toilets, he is watching Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and playing with his cat named Chance.

2. Pal Man and the Dude Friends
Just a couple of delinquents from Queen’s University playing tunes to fire up the crowd! This band has become a Queen’s classic playing from the Mansion, to Clark Hall Pub and the Underground. They are a high energy band that gets people on their feet! Getting ready to have a blast.

3. The Glasgow Kisses
Three piece band with ties all the way from Scotland. Formed this year the rock/soul/punk band has quickly rocked Queen’s University. Fresh from headlining at the Mansion they are ready to rock you all the off the grid!

We hope to see you there!!!
