This workshop will provide an open forum for discussion regarding striking a balance between the value of Indigenous knowledge and ways of knowing alongside Western knowledge.  Holistic Indigenous approaches to learning will be reviewed and employed in a practical exercise.

In this introductory workshop series you will meet the CTL’s newest member,  Dr. Ian Fanning (Educational Developer Indigenous Curriculum and Ways of Knowing).  The Series is designed for educators with limited, or no knowledge, of Indigenous approaches to learning to instill a level of comfort with beginning to Indigenize curricula.  There will also be opportunities for members of the Queen’s community to describe their needs for support in continuing efforts to Indigenize curriculum.
