This workshop will provide an open forum for discussion regarding striking a balance between the value of Indigenous knowledge and ways of knowing alongside Western knowledge.ย  Holistic Indigenous approaches to learning will be reviewed and employed in a practical exercise.

In this introductory workshop series you will meet the CTLโ€™s newest member, ย Dr. Ian Fanning (Educational Developer Indigenous Curriculum and Ways of Knowing).ย  The Series is designed for educators with limited, or no knowledge, of Indigenous approaches to learning to instill a level of comfort with beginning to Indigenize curricula.ย  There will also be opportunities for members of the Queenโ€™s community to describe their needs for support in continuing efforts to Indigenize curriculum.
