CRCA Fall Colours Weekend
Sunday, October 8th @ 10:00 AM - Monday, October 9th @ 4:00 PM
In our part of Ontario there are few things as awe-inspiring as the natural splendour of fall foliage, when the leaves on many species of deciduous trees change from green to radiant reds, oranges and yellows.
Visitors are welcome to come out to the Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority’s Fall Colours Weekend (which is also Thanksgiving) on Sunday, Oct. 8 and Monday, Oct. 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery from the water on the reservoir in one of our rental canoes or kayaks (available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.), or bring your own. Rental rates are $8 per hour and rental craft have to be back by 4 p.m. Or you can choose to stay on dry land and walk or hike on our trails. CRCA staff will be on hand to suggest routes and provide maps. You can also purchase a mug of cider and slice of pie at the Outdoor Centre and enjoy the view from the West Hall.
The Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area is located on Division Street just two kilometres north of Highway 401. Entry fees are: $5.50 per person for adults and children over 12, and $3 per person for children 12 and under, to a maximum fee of $14 per car. Annual passes are available for $80 per year.
