CRCA Backyard Birding/Feeder Workshop
Sunday, January 14th @ 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
For generations, families have enjoyed helping our fine feathered friends weather the rigours of winter by setting up bird feeders. It’s also a great little pastime to learn about different bird species and behaviours by watching the activity around those feeders.
The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority is hosting a Backyard Birding workshop on Sunday, Jan. 14, at 2 p.m., at the Outdoor Centre at the Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area, to help get you started on your own fun, educational birding experience. The program starts with a short, informal talk about backyard birding, including how to identify your various backyard guests and tips on how to attract more birds to your property. This will be followed by a chance to make your own bird feeders. All crafting materials will be supplied.
The Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area is located at 1641 Perth Rd, (Division Street N) just two kilometres north of Highway 401. Entry fees are: $5.50 per person for adults and children over 12, and $3 per person for children 12 and under, to a maximum fee of $14 per car. Annual passes are available for $80 per year.
